I made it!
So I got into Dublin OK. The flight was fine, although Aer Lingus has taken notes from the American Airlines school of thought on flight, “pack them in like sardines”.
The public transportation into Dublin is awesome, I paid 5€ for a direct ride into the center city.
I am staying at a decent place in the center city called The Palace Hotel, which has a bed that is slightly bigger than my body. 
In the next day or so, once I get some rest and get my bearings, I’ll make my plans for what to do in Ireland.
No pictures yet… the tourist office is great! I went in and for 4€, they found and booked a hotel room for me in 10 minutes, with a smile. That was easy. It rained immediately after I checked in, so I ducked into a sports shop and bought a soccer team windbreaker, making sure that I didn’t get a team that would cause me trouble in Ireland.
Then of course I had to go to a local pub and grab a pint of Guinness. Now I don’t ever want to leave, the Guinness is awesome here!
